Patrick Mealoy
Partner and Chief Operating Officer
Patrick Mealoy is a partner and the Chief Operating Officer at GSCE. He is an economist and policy planner with over 30 years of experience in the utility industry. Patrick leads the marketing and origination efforts at GSCE, overseeing interactions with market participants and implementing market strategies, including the 20,000 MW Valley Clean Infrastructure Plan (VCIP). Prior to the formation of GSCE, he served as the primary consultant the Westlands Solar Park (WSP) joint venture. With his extensive background in transmission planning, policy development, and regulations, he has consulted for all the electric utilities in the state, many local governments, water agencies, energy developers, regulatory bodies and several of the largest electricity users in California. He has also negotiated numerous power purchasing agreements (PPAs) for both thermal and renewable projects. Patrick holds a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from UC Davis.
