Daniel Kim
Partner and Senior Vice President of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs
Dan Kim is a partner and vice president of governmental and regulatory affairs at GSCE. With over 25 years of regulatory and policy experience in the California power markets, he manages all aspects of the regulatory and policy engagement for GSCE which includes interaction with the CPUC, CAISO, CEC and FERC and testifies in hearings at the California State Assembly and Senate. Prior to GSCE, Dan served as a senior policy advisor in the California State Legislature and as a government affairs manager for Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). At PG&E, he was instrumental in supporting AB 32 (California Greenhouse Gas Reduction Program) and accelerating the California Renewable Portfolio Standard program in SB 1478 (Sher) in 2006. Dan is also one of the founding partners of Westside Holdings LLC, which is the predecessor of Golden State Clean Energy. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Redlands.
